Von Rittberg, who is from a German noble family, began her film career with small roles in Dingsda and KiKA in the years 2000 and 2005. These roles were followed by appearances in "The Old Man, Die Rosenheim-Cops, Bye-bye, We'll Stay Here! and The avalanche.". In the years 2008 and 2009, von Rittberg played the role of the Rittenberg Lilly Sander in the successful ZDF miniseries My Wonderful Family." In November, 2009, she was in Romy Schneider's film version Romy as the youthful Romy. In 2014, she co-starred as Emma, alongside Brad Pitt, Logan Lerman and Shia LaBeouf in the American war film "Fury", directed by David Ayer.
Alicia is all set to appear in Our Kind of Traitor, an upcoming spy thriller film directed by Susanna White.
